The Observatory Home
The house stands on the steep hill as an observatory station, therefore its name. The upper floor sticks out of the general form at a rotated angle making it like the lens of the camera, the resulting terrace is a very nice spot for observing surrounding hills and a stunning view to the valley. As a lead up to the higher ground of the ground floor, is a very intricate terraced garden that steps behind the partially buried parking. The house also steps inside, to adapt to the slope. To reach the dining room and other rooms, on e has to go through a few steps, making the internal spaces varied and rich. The overall design is simple, but very rich through the play of intersecting volumes.
