Maison Sol
"Maison Sol", this name originates from the French "Maison" to mean house and "Sol" to mean "ground" but also is a shortening of the owner's name. The Ground house is a home whose design is related to the ground in two ways. The first one, its linearity towards the street parallels the road and the ground horizon, giving it an infinity feeling that tends to extend beyond the small plot of 20m by 15m. Second, as the ground was sloping down the road, the house stepped with it such that it has three different levels inside, the level of the master bedroom and parking that is aligned with the road. The level of the living room which is 1m below and the level of the dining, kitchen and all other bedrooms which is 0.5m below the living room. The house in the small plot has a bit of complex circulation but functional to separate master bedroom circulation and as it steps up or down inside, it gives the feeling that the house is too big. Towards the left of the dining and living, is a stair that leads to a back terrace that has a stunning view of the city.
